In the paint spraying and varnishing industry, shot blast machines are used to prepare the surfaces of radiators, gas bottles, steel cylinders, containers, barrels, pipes, drums etc. to ensure perfect bonding of the paint pigments. Shot blast further serves to remove old paint before new varnish is applied.
