TRT transfer thermometers ensure accurate and stable long-term temperature measurement for the calibration of infrared thermometers, thermal cameras and black bodies. The certification of a TRT is referred to a National Institute of Metrology (NMI).
These devices are usually dedicated to calibration laboratories and scientific research.
They are available in three versions:
TRT II with 2 switchable spectral bands, 3.9 and 8 - 14 m (dualband)
TRT IV.41 for the 3.9 m band (singleband)
TRT IV.82 for band 8 - 14 m (singleband)
General Information
The HEITRONICS Transfer Radiation Thermometer (TRT) is for use as a Transfer Standard of the highest level at NMIs (National Metrological Institute). It provides a high quality accurate transfer of temperatures to user's Black Body Radiators (BBRs), after the TRT is calibrated against NMI fixed-point Black Body Radiators.
For convenient and scientific use at the TRT the user has access to the major features and values at the TRT by using PC-based software.
MAIN FEATURES
• Optimized Uncertainty from approx. 70 mK using coverage factor k=2
Equivalent to approx. 35 mK using k=1 standard uncertainty
• Temperature resolution (NETD) from approximately 20 mK
• High Quality Zinc Selenide lens with excellent Size of Source Effect (SSE) performance
• User friendly keyboard with displays
• Complete accessory package included
PRECISION
To meet the very high demands of a transfer radiation thermometer, each TRT is subjected to extensive testing and adjustments during production. The standard supplied HEITRONICS calibration certificate is traceable to the standards of Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the German NMI located in Berlin. Optionally a PTB certification may be requested.
SSE DIAGRAMM
The exact focal distance and an SSE diagram are measured for each instrument at the end of the production cycle. The SSE diagram is part of the scope of supply.
