Signal Conditioners

TM, TS & TN Series meters are available with an internal pulser. In this configuration it is a gland-less flow meter, which provides a non-scaled pulse output. Depending upon model size, you get from 7700 to 51 pulse per gallon (2035 to 13.5 ppl). Depending upon system requirements, this pulse signal may have to travel significant distances, which can require an amplifier. In other cases, the receiving instrument may require a scaled pulse signal (such as 10 pulses per gallon or liter), or a 4-20 mA analog signal, which is possible with different signal conditioners. In some cases there is no good fit between available models, and actual flow rate. For example, for flow ranging from 0.5 to 15 GPM, we have to use model TM06 rated 2-20 GPM. To improve on meter accuracy when flow rate is below 2 GPM, a linearizer (multi-point calibration) would be recommended.
