The essential function of Inca 3D Scan is to get datas, whether for evaluation in the measuring program or for Reverse Engineering in the field of design.

The multi-sensor systems supported in this context (switching and measuring probes and laser optic systems) permit digitization of practically all forms of soft materials, via clay models, up to and including plastic and steel components. Fully automated scans for measuring and surface feedback are possible, since all rotary and pivoting heads, including the scanner changers, can be used.

A range of standard interfaces, such as VDA and IGES, are available for data output. In addition, it is also possible to convert the data to STL format, permitting direct read-in into CAM systems.

Inca 3D Scan is available either as a stand-alone program or as an expansion for the measuring module and Design Studio.
