The PEX9700 series of switches, based on PCIe Gen3 and using ExpressFabric, can dramatically increase performance and availability by allowing each device in a rack to communicate over PCIe, eliminating the inherent latency and power usage caused by components required to convert host PCIe data for other protocols.
