Teflon ® PTFE tubing are flexible tubing that resists crimping and blocking. It is the ideal Teflon tube for measuring emissions below 260 ° C. Material: Thick-walled polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE) Teflon ® tube.
Teflon ® is a registered trademark of DuPont. Teflon ® is the brand name of Dupont PTFE, FEP and PFA fluoropolymer plastic resins. These three elements are very similar in terms of composition, temperature limit and chemical resistance, but have slightly different mechanical properties which make them better suited for certain specific applications. PTFE is the best for most gas samples. UV Compatibility Teflon ® Tubes (PTFE): Clean Air Engineering's PTFE tubing is virtually unaffected by inclement weather or prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays. Independent tests on samples exposed to virtually all climatic conditions confirm the weather resistance properties of fluoropolymer tubing. When applications demand total reliability under these conditions, fluoropolymers are the answer.
Specifications:
The colors of 1/4 “Teflon ® PTFE tubes are available: black, blue, gray, green, orange, natural (white), red and yellow.
1/8 ", 3/8", 1/2 "and 5/8" Teflon ® PTFE tubes are only available in Natural (White) color. If you need another color, please call.
** Teflon ® PTFE tube bend radius is for room temperature bends. Heating the tube to the soft point before bending is preferable for permanent bends.
Continuous Teflon ® PTFE tubing over 100 feet, in the following sizes 1/2 "and 5/8", shipped approximately four weeks after ordering.
Continuous lengths of 250 foot Teflon ® PTFE tubing are now available from stock. 1/8 ", 1/4" and 3/8 "Teflon ® PTFE tubing.
For specific properties see our attached “Teflon ® PTFE Tubing Summary of Properties”.
For burst pressure values, see our theoretical burst pressure table for Teflon ® tubes.
Laboratory Applications: Teflon ® PTFE tubes are used in a variety of laboratory applications due to their chemical resistance and inertia. Teflon ® is the best way to prevent contaminants from adhering to a surface.
