Founded in 1922 as a division of the Kawanishi Machinery Co. Ltd., Yamato has had considerable influence on the development of weighing technology over the years. Our company has built its worldwide reputation as one of the leading specialists in this field mainly through weighing machines and systems for the food, chemical and heavy industry, scales for supermarkets, shops and households.
   
Apart from this, Yamato is also active in the specialized fields of continuous sterilizers and testing equipment, such as tire balancing machines and wind tunnels, for the car industry. Our factory and head office are located in Akashi – Japan. Through regional offices and a network of agents Yamato has established a worldwide presence. Yamato has been one of the first companies to recognize the possibilities and future of the multihead principle. This has resulted in a leading position as a manufacturer of multihead weighers since the late 1970’s.
