Air-mechanical Shaft : Model SV & SVSA

Designed to rewind and unwind rolls of variable widths, these shafts are strong and rigid. So much so that one or more rolls may be used on the same shaft.

Cantilever shafts with flange or with journal mounting may be designed for cantilever applications.

These shafts are specially designed for applications in a vacuum.

Their pneumomechanical design provides excellent concentricity values.

Version “SV” expands by pressurising the shaft (5-6 bar).

Version “SVSA” will expand when the shaft is totally devoid of air. It is well suited for unwind operations in vacuum conditions or for applications with processing cycles over several days.

The “SVSA” construction can be used for handling and lifting rolls, as for it meets all the required safety criteria.
