Our accordion bellows are designed to protect your machine slides. Our bellows, designed in-house or manufactured from your drawings, are reinforced with one-piece PVC stiffeners welded into each pleat to maintain their shape even at full extension. The stiffeners hug each slide cross-section tightly for proper operation regardless of bellows position. Depending on your specifications, choose our polyurethane exterior coating for oily environments, or our special elastomer coating if your machines are exposed to hot projections or sparks. Bellows ends can be made from PVC or steel, depending on requirements.
Fabrics
Neoprene-coated fabric, 0.2 mm thick: For use on control machines or setting benches in dusty environments.
Polyurethane-coated fabric, 0.2 mm thick: For use in oily environments with swarf for smaller bellows and linear ball rails.
Polyurethane-coated fabric, 0.4 mm thick: For use in oily environments with swarf, for bellows intended to protect machine-tool shafts.
TKVB fabric, 0.5 mm thick: To protect from exposure to hot swarf or red-hot spatter; not altered by contact with chemical substances.
Stainless-steel scales: To protect bellows fabric in the event of severe stresses or direct projections.
End fasteners
Ends are fastened using permanent double-sided adhesive.
Dual Lock® fastener using industrial Velcro® for rapid removal.
Various types of steel fasteners are available; see online quote request form for details. The right fastener ensures a perfect fit for your machine.
Options
Extension limiters: Ensures uniform extension of all pleats for vertical or larger bellows.
Pads and rollers: Help bellows with larger cross-sections slide better.
Slide extenders: Required where the existing slide is not long enough to accommodate the bellows in the compressed position.
