How much time to you spend cleaning your blade pans? How often have you been irritated when the press was contaminated when you removed the blade pans? smart.clean is a compact, user-friendly solution that minimises the need for the manual cleaning of the press. Whith smart.clean, you acquire a cleaning tool that can be retrofitted quickly and easily.

The washing agent is fed into the pan via a washing pipe that is mounted along the blade pans. The ink that is scraped off by the blade is partially dissolved by the washing process so that it can be extracted more easily by suction.

A washing and extraction system, which has been specifically developed for this application, is connected to the return flow of the blade pans. technotrans will perform the necessary modification of the blade pans after prior consultation with you and without interrupting or interfering with the production process. Alternatively the modification can be handled via the customer.

The pans are washed and extracted in a sequence. Sensors monitor the filling level inside the pans. As a result, the ink concentration in the washing agent tank increases continuously so that the tank must be emptied at regular intervals.

The cleaning process can be started either manually or automatically via the operating signal of the printing press. A total of eight blade pans can be connected to one washing and extraction system. The ink/washing agent mixture is fed into a tank with a capacity of up to 90 litres.

This tank can be emptied by way of a manual valve, but it is also possible to fill and empty it automatically. The cleaning cycle can be considerably extended without having to remove and clean the pans. However, the blade lip itself should be cleaned once per week with the pan remaining in place.

A cleaning interval of five weeks has proved to be reasonable. The various practical details make maintenance and service simple. The minimized cleaning requirements for the press considerably reduce operating costs, while providing maximum machine availability.
