CNRG™ Integrated Distributed Energy Resource Management (iDER™) is a software control system providing electric utilities with the capability to maximize asset utilization and optimize management of the distribution network.
For the first time, electric utilities can coordinate management of distributed generation, renewables, energy storage, and demand on a common platform. Information can be integrated from legacy automation systems as well as additional control and sensing devices. This solution allows dynamic, near real-time management based on the changing conditions of the distribution network. Typical annual value created for each managed circuit can reach $1 million from market and operational benefits.
CNRG™ iDER monitors the condition of the local electrical grid (distribution feeders) to identify, assess, and manage grid resources for improved energy delivery.
iDER is deployed to meet the following objectives:
- Provides an independent management platform that can support grid efficiency and reliability within a specified energy delivery area.
- Integrates information from existing energy delivery systems (such as SCADA or network protection systems) and new sensors, devices and resource networks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Provides new information that can be used to diagnose and report operational effectiveness of the electric grid.
