MAK 6 Series high performance, low maintenance compressor coolers are used for continuous analysis of extractant gases. They are mainly used for the constant and exact lowering of the dew point of the sample gas and therefore for drying the wet sample gas stream. In this way, cross sensitivities of water vapor and volumetric errors are minimized and damage to the sensitive analyzer is avoided. The MAK 6 series are long-established and robust refrigerated chillers introduced in 1995 and still available through our special factory.
 
Technology:
The precise proportional temperature control in combination with the long-life hot gas bypass system and the innovative corrosion-resistant heat exchangers achieve extremely constant low dew points. Load fluctuations and high thermal stresses are also reliably compensated. The two single or dual heat exchangers with one or two gas paths each are built in a solid aluminum cylinder which ensures optimum energy exchange between the sample gas and the coolant. In addition, the aluminum cylinder is an efficient cold store that takes care of compensating for adverse operating conditions. The MAK 6 is equipped with exchangeable heat exchangers which allow easy replacement without disassembling the device.
 
Functions:
The cooling system is filled with FCKW R134a-free refrigerant. As PVDF heat exchanger materials, glass or stainless steel are available. The sample gas cooler is equipped with a digital display for temperature monitoring and a potential-free alarm contact. Two brackets allow for quick and easy wall mounting of the device
