Since 1905, Guilbert Express has created and sold soldering devices and heating tools that can be used for a very wide
range of applications.
These cover finishing trades in the building and civil engineering sector (including roofing, plumbing, industrial applications and DIY), as well as shrink-wrapping, logistics, boating and agriculture.
Based on a very strong culture of innovation, which is demonstrated by the large number of patents it has filed,
the Express brand is recognised around the world as a benchmark for its main product lines (torches, soldering irons, blowtorches, welding machines, etc.), which have gone a long way to improving the daily work of users over the years.
Located in Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Paris region, Guilbert Express devotes nearly 5% of its turnover to research and
development.
Guilbert Express employs nearly 100 people and is currently one of the most popular brands among professionals, with
a presence in some 54 countries on all continents. It has numerous subsidiaries, including the United Arab Emirates,
China, the United States and Germany. Winner of the INPI innovation trophy for the Île-de-France region, and honoured by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Guilbert Express received an award for its performance at the 2012 Prix France Qualité. It was recognised in the Leadership category for its ability to motivate and inspire its employees.
In 2016, Guilbert Express once again occupied centre stage, as it was awarded the first prize for operational excellence
by AFNOR and MEDEF for the improvement of its service level through visual media, from among some 83 candidates.
