Anton Paar launches new termperature device : measurements up to 300°C

Anton Paar has launched the ETD 300 temperature device, enabling measurement of samples like asphalt, bitumen, hot melt adhesives, and waxes at temperatures all the way up to 300°C (from +25°C). 

The ViscoQC accessory allows total control via the viscometer's interface, without the need for seperate temperature program synchronization. Most precise sample temperature control with the unique T-Ready function as well as automatic spindle type recognition save time, exclude errors and secure highest repeatability. Magnetic spindle coupling makes spindle attachment faster, easier, and safer. Fully automated ASTM D4402 method frees up lab staff time. 

The temperature device is applicable to Anton Paar's ViscoQC 100 & 300 rotational viscometers. And it complies with ASTM D4402, D3236, AASHTO T316, EN 13302, and more.

Delivering on the most important requirements for any characterization laboratory, Autosorb 6100 is a customizable instrument designed for the most challenging surface area and pore size distribution measurements in the nanometer range (0,35 nm to 500 nm). 

Accuracy and agility

The instrument comes with a leak-tight analysis system, precise manifold temperature control, and Anton Paar's TruZone active coolant level control ensuring accurate detection of BET surface areas below 0.1 m2 with nitrogen. In addition, the long-lasting dewar lets operators conduct measurements that exceed 90 hours without requiring a refill of the dewar.

    Anton Paar has launched its next-generation multiparameter system for combined density and turbidity analysis - leveraging a predefined, proven, industry-specific system setup. 

    Modulyzer Turbidity measures specific gravity and turbidity from one sample filling, combining two key parameters for injectables, infusions, vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, and liquid formulations. 

    The system requires only 5 mL sample volume and offers various filling possibilities. There's accurate temperature control throughout the entire process. The completely enclosed turbidity measuring cell means no complex handling of cuvettes. Hazardous samples, e.g. aggressive chemicals or biologically active pharmaceuticals, can be properly filled and cleaned with a single sample changer.     The MCR 702e MultiDrive is a dynamic mechanical analyzer based on the renowned technology of the MCR Evolution rheometer series. It is equipped with a rotational motor and linear motor and in this way the full range of dynamic mechanical analysis for materials - especially polymers - from the solid to the liquid state is possible. 

    MCR 702e MultiDrive is the most versatile and powerful platform for dynamic mechanical analysis currently available. The device combines a completely new linear motor with the renowned EC motor technology from MCR rheometers. This state-of-the-art linear motor makes it possible to perform dynamic mechanical analysis in bending, tension, and compression as well as thermomechanical analysis (TMA) with one instrument.

    The four possible types of analysis are dynamic mechanical analysis in axial direction (classical DMA), dynamic mechanical analysis in torsion, thermomechanical analysis, and a broad range of rheological measurements. 

    The unique design of the rotational motor based on the air bearing technology exclusively developped by Anton Paar guarantees extraordinary sensitivity and thus the most precise results. The linear motor is designed with an advanced material selection to show almost no effects of magnetic hysteresis. This enables highly precise measurements over a broad force range up to 40 N and over the complete displacement range up to 9,4 mm to characterize soft and stiff materials as precisely as possible. 

    A linear optical encoder is used in the measuring device to determine the displacement. This optical technology allows stable strain measurements with resolutions in the subnanometer range. 
    The innovative CFD-optimized design of the measuring systems guarantees negligible temperature gradients inside the sample which is essential when highly accurate and reliable results are required. Each measuring system includes an integrated temperature sensor close to the clamped sample in order to measure the actual sample temperature with the highest reproductiblity over the complete temperature range. 
    When changing measuring geometries, the proven QuickConnect coupling provides great ease of use. This quick-fitting coupling ensures fast, convenient measuring geometry changes without a screwing mechanism or any need of additional alignment procedures.
