The news of Maschinenfabrik Berthold HERMLE AG

Open House Resümeé 2024

avril 25, 2024

This year’s HERMLE Open House closed its doors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday after welcoming more than 1,100 companies and 2,550 visitors, including 750 international guests. For four days, everything in Gosheim revolved around the “sector get-together with technology transfer”.
We welcomed various delegations from over 30 countries – including large ones from the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, France, the USA, Turkey and Mexico. But visitors from Thailand, Malaysia, China, India, Taiwan and numerous other countries were also given comprehensive advice and guidance throughout the four-day event.

The highlights of this year’s Open House included the unveiling of the new Generation 2 models, the extensive automation solutions on show and, above all, the numerous machining demonstrations featuring integrated technology solutions for cost-effective production.

HERMLE OPEN HOUSE 2024

mars 04, 2024

Horizontal machining centre
This year, too, HERMLE AG extends a warm welcome to its traditional Open House at Gosheim. From 16 to 19 April 2024, the factory gates open daily for visitors between 9 am and 5 pm. A comprehensive supporting programme includes technical talks, guided tours of the company, a special exhibition with over 40 exhibitors from the fields of clamping technology, CAD/CAM and hardware / software, and of course HERMLE’s proprietory manufacturing process using MPA technology.

HIGHLIGHTS at the Open House 2024
More than 20 machining centres will be live in operation to highlight some of the most relevant sectors using a wide range of machining examples. These components showcase how important the latest manufacturing technologies are when it comes to machining complex items even more economically. Amongst other things, HERMLE AG will be demonstrating reverse countersinking, interlocking joints, simultaneous deburring, rolling, power skiving, the use of angle heads and U axes, fast-turning spindles, fine boring and interpolation turning. These technologies will be supplemented by software-based tools and applications.

You want to be there?

Automation in perfection – HERMLE at the EMO 2023

juillet 06, 2023

Advertising editorials: robotics / automation
With its HIGH-PERFORMANCE-LINE and PERFORMANCE-LINE machining centres, HERMLE AG has been a benchmark for years in a wide variety of industries which require precise, high-quality and long-term accurate machines. The shortage of skilled workers and also the economic pressure to use automated systems has been steadily increasing in recent years. For example, HERMLE AG established its own automation subsidiary, HERMLE Systemtechnik GmbH, at an early stage. With an automation share which has since grown to over 50%, this was a very forward-looking decision which is more than paying off today. Therefore, the focus at the EMO will also be on the area of automation and digitalisation. Three different approaches are shown here, both for a wide range of parts and for the reliable and economical production of high-quality components.

HERMLE AG devotes an entire subject area to the development of technology. Here, user questions about new production technologies, milling and turning cycles, digital components and special hardware will be answered by specialists.

The RS 05-2 robot system adapted to a C 12 –
for workpieces up to 10 kg with simultaneous high and individual parts storage in a wide variety of storage modules.

The RS 1 robot system adapted to a C 250 – can flexibly grip, clamp and store workpieces up to 15 kg and pallets up to 60 kg. Maximum flexibility with very high process reliability.

The HS flex handling system adapted to a C 32 –
for workpieces up to 450 kg (the heavy version up to 1,200 kg), transports and stores pallets in two storage modules.

The milling/turning version of the C 42 completes the exhibit list and uses a spectacular milling process/rotational machining to demonstrate the "powerskiving" milling process for internal and external toothing and "fir tree milling" for aerospace engine components.

Two further Hermle machining centres, model C 32, can be found at our partner companies EMUGE-FRANKEN and HEXAGON.

Of course, the Bulli/T1 show part, produced at the in-house exhibition and which caused a sensation at the Open house in April, must not be missing at the EMO.
