By the time mould makers and plastics processors/ transformers look for having a better control of their production costs, while successfully positioning for larger projects, RABOURDIN Industrie brings them the IRONJAW® standard solution to free up additional injection capacity with their existing installed presses.

RABOURDIN INDUSTRIE announces that the IRONJAW® standard range is now available, worldwide. IRONJAW® is a patented auxiliary clamping / blocking system for mold tooling which allows savings in the press tonnage capacity.

This new system meets the final customers' expectations in providing a way to save the press tonnage for injection molding operations with benefits in energy savings, hourly cost reduction, improved usage of the machines, and capability to inject parts, larger than usual, with the existing machine range. It becomes also a locking tooling system for specific usage without press (autonomous mould)

The IRONJAW® system is available in a 4 standard range in order to meet the customers’ requirements:

• 1- Extra Small : each system compensates up to 25 tons.
• 2- Small : each system compensates up to 50 tons.
• 3- Medium : each system compensates up to 125 tons.
• 4- Large : each system compensates up to 200 tons.

For specific needs and as an option, it is possible through a feasibility study, to design a customized solution.

The coupling of several same size IRONJAW systems allows compensating the desired maximum tonnage in a tooling.

This system is totally autonomous, reusable on different moulds, and easy to plug on the tooling. IRONJAW® is driven by a hydraulic kernel from the press or by an external one, with position control to work safely and to prevent any tooling damage in case of bad programming of the press.
