The ADD active damping devices complement highly precise and sensitive equipment (microscopes, inspection devices, etc.) with an isolation system to effectively address local/global resonances.

These active damping devices introduce structural damping into most undesirable mechanical resonances. Up to 15% of structural damping can be achieved without significant redesign efforts.

Compared to passive dampers, ADD devices are lighter and insensitive to changes in the dynamics of the supporting structure.

These active damping devices are perfect for reducing structural vibrations in isolated machinery to improve their performance.

They are suitable for reducing chatter in machine tools and enhancing the overlay of the printing process.

Vibration reduction with an ADD is a non-intrusive process. No structural modification is required. The device does not degrade the static strength or stiffness of the target structure.

ADD performance is not affected by changes in resonance frequencies.

Performance with an ADD is an additive process, so the more devices you attach to the structure or machine, the greater the vibration reduction achieved.

An ADD does not need to be tuned to the respective target resonance.
