The Alcatel-Lucent 5530 Network Analyzer (NA) is a unique solution for managing DSL loop quality. It helps service providers ensure that DSL loops meet increased quality and stability requirements for the successful support of triple-play services. This solution provides greater insight into DSL loop quality, so that problems can be avoided, anticipated or resolved quickly. As a result, it enables dramatic OPEX reduction of up to 70 percent, by supporting more appropriate service rollout decisions, streamlined service delivery, improved service quality, reduced service downtime and faster problem resolution.

The Alcatel-Lucent 5530 NA addresses the full life cycle of DSL lines, including planning and readiness, service fulfillment and service assurance processes. The product is evolving to become a single integrated testing solution covering both DSL and POTS line testing (NB line testing replacement in the context of multiservice access and Class 5 replacement). It has also been extended to support key capabilities for customer care.
