The MCR 73 is a high-sensitivity entry-level rheometer designed for quality control and product development laboratories that require precise, reproducible, and easy-to-perform rheological measurements. Based on the proven Anton Paar MCR series technology, it enables the characterization of both the flow behavior and the structure of materials through rotational and oscillatory measurements.

Equipped with a microporous carbon air-bearing motor, the MCR 73 offers significantly higher sensitivity than conventional entry-level instruments. With a minimum torque of 100 nNm, it is particularly well suited for the study of structured materials, gels, emulsions, polymers, pharmaceutical formulations, cosmetics, and food products. This technology ensures excellent accuracy and high reproducibility of results, even for the most sensitive samples.

The MCR 73 features an integrated touchscreen that allows users to prepare tests, adjust parameters, and control measurements directly from the instrument. The QuickConnect and Toolmaster technologies enable rapid geometry changes and automatic geometry recognition, while the TruRay lighting system facilitates sample positioning. Standard measurements can be performed up to 60% faster than on comparable systems.

Temperature control is provided by CoolPeltier technology, ensuring uniform regulation without the need for an external thermostat. Depending on the selected configuration, tests can be performed over a temperature range from -50 °C to +400 °C, providing reliable experimental conditions for quality control and formulation development.

Thanks to the RheoCompass for QC software, preconfigured method templates, and guided procedures, the MCR 73 reduces operator training requirements while ensuring comparable results across different users, teams, or production sites. Its modular design also allows it to be upgraded for more advanced applications as laboratory requirements evolve.
