The TowerSlide X is a variation on the TowerMark X system. It has been created for those that need to mark very heavy pieces or very large pieces. It makes it much easier to place these kinds of pieces into the machine. The TowerSlideX has the traditional Z and X movements (but inside a more robust structure) with the addition of a part on the side for the sliding carriage.
The loading system has a base on the side with a platform that slides along a 20-caliber STAR/REXROTH rail system. The carriage can be moved manually or by an optional pneumatic system, and has two supports that allow for the precise positioning and blocking of the pieces to avoid movement, especially during the loading phase. The piece can be easily loaded with a block and tackle and then slid into the marking cabin. Then the laser can mark – in an absolutely safe way – the area tvia the lens or using the X movement along a 600 mm axis. The work surface has a plate of hardened steel and features a perforated surface to facilitate the positioning of the piece between the supports. We also provide a top layer of the plate in polystone. The loading area is 1,000 mm wide to avoid the piece coming too close to the structure of the machine, which could result in a collision due to hunting oscillation.
TowerSlideX has been created to mark pieces that are maximum 700 mm (in terms of the width of the door), 450 mm (in terms of the depth of the machine) and 600 mm in height. Maximum weight (uniformly distributed) for the piece to be marked is 350 kg.
The piece is loaded on to the steel plate, which moves along a STAR/REXROTH rail system, and is pushed into the marking cabin through the sliding door on the side. The door can be pushed upward and features a load balancing system for ease in opening and closing.
