Membrane detector for the control of level of bulk materials. These controllers are based on a switch driven by a membrane (nitrile rubber). The membrane must be exposed to the material to control.

As the material enters the silo, crowds and covers the membrane ; the pressure that it exerts forces it to back down pressing the mechanism that drives a switch. This switch runs or stops visual or acoustic signals, as well as loading and unloading mechanisms in silos and containers.
