The Cora 101 is a portable Raman spectrometer designed for the rapid and reliable identification of unknown substances directly in the field. Compact and lightweight, it enables the analysis of hazardous materials, narcotics, explosives, chemical agents, or incoming goods in just a few seconds, without sample preparation or complex data interpretation. Thanks to its Raman technology, it provides non-destructive identification while minimizing risks for the operator.
Weighing only 590 g, the Cora 101 is one of the lightest portable Raman spectrometers in its class. Its ergonomic design makes it easy to use during extended field operations, in warehouses, or in laboratories. Its robust construction and IP67 protection allow it to operate in demanding environments, even in the presence of dust, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
The instrument includes extensive spectral libraries containing more than 24,000 industrial and pharmaceutical compounds, as well as dedicated databases for narcotics, hazardous materials, explosives, and chemical warfare agents. Each identification result provides detailed information such as the compound name, CAS number, regulatory status, and safety data. Users can also expand the libraries with their own reference spectra to meet specific requirements.
The automatic focus system instantly adjusts the measurement distance at the touch of a button, allowing analysis through various types of packaging such as plastic bags, glass bottles, or pharmaceutical blister packs. This feature improves analysis speed while reducing the risk of handling errors.
For the most demanding applications, the optional SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) kit extends detection capabilities to trace-level or highly diluted substances, including certain synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. This technology provides an additional level of sensitivity for security, forensic, and controlled substance identification applications.
