The TPO 5001 is a Total Package Oxygen (TPO) analyzer designed for quality control of packaged beverages. It accurately measures the total oxygen present in packages by combining the analysis of dissolved oxygen and headspace oxygen directly from cans, glass bottles, or PET bottles. This measurement makes it possible to identify oxygen ingress throughout the filling process in order to preserve the stability, taste, appearance, and shelf life of beverages.
Designed for use close to production lines, the TPO 5001 delivers reliable results in less than four minutes through a fully automated procedure. Measurements are performed with a single click, and the system automatically cleans the sensors after each analysis, reducing maintenance requirements and ensuring excellent repeatability of results. Self-monitoring functions continuously check sample positioning as well as the status of the water and gas supplies to ensure a secure measurement process.
Its robust design, featuring IPX3 protection, a stainless steel housing, and an automatic container centering system, ensures reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. The instrument accommodates a wide variety of container formats and provides intuitive operation through its touchscreen interface and visual status indicators.
The TPO 5001 can be integrated with Anton Paar multiparameter solutions to extend analytical capabilities to up to fifty parameters specific to the beverage industry. When combined with Anton Paar CO₂ measurement systems, it also enables the selective determination of dissolved carbon dioxide during the same measurement cycle, providing a complete solution for quality control of carbonated soft drinks, beer, and other packaged beverages.
