Desmophen®: world-renowned polyurethane polyol building blocks

Polyurethanes consist of two main components – polyols and polyisocyanates. Through careful selection of each raw material, an endless array of polyurethanes (PU) with wide-ranging properties is possible. Desmophen® polyols from Covestro are proven as high-quality building blocks for PU coatings.
For more than 70 years we have been developing and manufacturing Desmophen® polyols for high-performance coatings.

Desmophen® polyols are used for the formulation of solventborne, high solids, two-component (2K) polyurethane and polyurea formulations. They are also used for the preparation of one-component (1K) systems.
The Desmophen® line includes:

Polyurethanes based on Desmophen® polyols, particularly when reacted with Desmodur® crosslinkers, are fast drying, durable and elastic coatings with excellent resistance to chemicals, physical influences, weather and UV radiation.
