The WeldMIC™ microphone is an acoustic sensor designed by Xiris Automation Inc to capture welding sounds in a noisy manufacturing environment that complements XVC vision cameras. Using a directional cardioid pickup pattern with noise reduction features, the WeldMIC™ records sound clearly and reliably while eliminating unwanted background noise and interference.

Unlike most commercial microphones, WeldMIC™ is built to survive in harsh welding environments. Featuring a rugged body and cables, optimized internal electronics, WeldMIC™ offers fabricators another sensory input - sound - to help them remotely monitor and fine-tune the welding process.

With a stainless steel body and specialized pre-amplification electronics, WeldMIC™ is built to last in welding environments. It is typically mounted near the camera or close to the welding process. A replaceable acoustic sleeve is also provided to protect the microphone from excessive weld splatter or fumes.
