Vision Sensing's MIR640DB uncooled MWIR fixed-mount camera (based on a microbolometer detector) offers a unique imaging solution in the 3–5 μm spectral band.
This digital camera, with a resolution of 640x480 pixels and a pixel pitch of 17 µm, can capture 14-bit video at 30 Hz.
It is available with several interface options: USB 2.0, CameraLink, and GIGEVision.

Specially developed for high-temperature applications such as the glass or ceramics industry, combustion control (incinerators), and furnace monitoring via vision through the flame using a specific filter, the MIR640DB is an alternative to MWIR solutions based on cooled imagers.
Like the latter, it also allows for more precise temperature measurement of highly reflective materials such as aluminum and copper.

Powered by 5 VDC and compact (38 mm x 38 mm x 45 mm without optics), it can be housed in a water-cooled enclosure. Several optics are available: 7.5 mm, 14 mm
