The device features cutting-edge sensor technology, highly sensitive to vapors of the specified oil standard, while ignoring irrelevant gaseous substances like ethanol (C₂H₆O). No oxygen is required in the test gas.
A key innovation is the patented “Forced Pressure Variation” method, which creates compression stages internally to identify creeping contamination, such as from filter saturation.
