“ - Easy use without dry ice. - Accurate flow rate adjustment and volume transfer calculation using the mass flow meter. - Improved thermal conductivity due to tanks machined from single aluminum block. ”
SOCLEMA offers the TAR Protocol, an automated sampling system for analyzing tars produced from pyrolysis gasification, in accordance with the European reference tar protocol used for syngas characterization.
This device industrializes a laboratory protocol by isolating organic contaminants (BTEX, PAHs, phenol, thiophene, etc.) through a sequence of heated and then cooled bottles, ensuring controlled condensation.
Precise thermal control
The system combines a Peltier-type cold module (down to –20 °C) with a heating block (+40 °C), enabling fine thermal regulation without the use of dry ice. It operates within a range of 0 °C to +200 °C, even in demanding industrial environments. The tanks, machined from a solid aluminum block, provide excellent thermal conductivity, while a mass flow controller ensures precise flow adjustment (0.5 to 5 Nl/min) and reliable monitoring of the transferred volume.
Modular and ergonomic design
Easy to use thanks to its touchscreen interface, the TAR Protocol includes quick-connect fittings for fluidic connections, as well as a removable section for transporting samples.
The system is designed for easy maintenance, with different versions available to suit specific constraints: laboratory, industrial sites, and ATEX environments (enhanced safety).
