The fluidos dosing system is installed about 50,000 times worldwide and is the easiest way to prepare reliable and reproducible dampening solution in volume for offset printing.
The fluidos operates hydrodynamically using water pressure from the water supply, eliminating any need for electrical energy. The system is connected directly to the water supply and draws the additive straight from a container. The concentration can be easily adjusted from the outside by simply turning the suction cylinder and reading off a scale.
The additive volume is always in proportion to the amount of water flowing through the upper drive component and not affected by the pressure and throughput fluctuations. The materials used to build the system are resistant to all commercially available dampening solution additives. The fluidos dosing pump is the standard for all techotrans’ dampening solution circulation units.
There are also versions with two fluidos dosing pumps connected in parallel (for higher solution output or as back up) or even as a series of connected pumps (which could be used, for example, for additional dosing of alcohol substitutes).
Each version includes a suction tube with a system to monitor and signal when the tank is empty. Alongside the standard version for dampening solutions of 1–5 % of volume there are also versions to give 0.5-2.5 % of volume, 2–12 % of volume or 3–20 % of volume.
These options might be selected for dosing water hardness-increasing agents or adding silicone concentrate. As well as models integrated into the press, standalone systems can be supplied.
